Dol Prasad (D.P.) Aryal is the 10th Speaker of Nepal's Federal Parliament, House of Representatives. In the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, 2082 B.S., he won Kathmandu Constituency No. 9 by a wide margin with 35,093 votes.

Rising through struggle to establish himself in alternative politics, Aryal has also served as founding vice-chair and acting chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

He was first appointed Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security in Magh 2079 B.S. He was entrusted with the same ministry again on Falgun 23, 2080 B.S.

Under his leadership, the labour approval process was arranged to be completed within one hour, making a notable contribution to controlling delays and corruption in foreign employment.

From reducing fees for pre-departure orientation training to simplifying the labour approval process, significant improvements were made in the employment sector during his short tenure.

Known as a social engineer, Dol Prasad (D.P.) Aryal has made notable contributions—from building hospitals in Nepal's remote regions to distributing health supplies and managing patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Believing that national development must begin from the most difficult geography, Aryal brought Raskot Hospital into operation in Kalikot with cooperation from RSP founding chair Rabi Lamichhane.

More than 50,000 local citizens have received services from Raskot Hospital to date. Around 60 people receive various health services daily.

After the hospital was established, locals no longer had to travel to Surkhet or Nepalgunj for basic treatment. The hospital provides trauma services, a birthing center, solar power, drinking water, and employs 30 staff.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aryal contributed to saving many lives by distributing health supplies, transporting patients, arranging special beds, and coordinating medical care.

Active in social service, Aryal is also a successful entrepreneur who invests in education, health, finance, and other sectors to create employment within Nepal.

Dol Prasad (D.P.) Aryal, who was actively engaged in health services during the COVID-19 pandemic, entered formal politics after 2079 B.S.

Experiencing citizens' hardships during hospital construction and the COVID-19 crisis, he concluded that an alternative political force was needed to reform Nepal's political system.

In Asar 2079 B.S., the Rastriya Swatantra Party was announced under Rabi Lamichhane's leadership, with Aryal as founding vice-chair. He was elected to the House of Representatives through the proportional list in the general election held five months later.

In the absence of chair Rabi Lamichhane, Aryal also served as acting chair and strengthened the organization through leadership in both parliament and on the streets.
